· Ford was born on July 30, 1863, on a farm in Greenfield Township (near Detroit, Michigan)
· Ford was known for being very crafty, since he would often fix watches from the people who lived in his neighborhood
· When his mother died, Ford was very devastated, his father told him he would soon have to take over the family farm
